So I got into knives through kitchen cutlery, and then pocket knives. I grew up with my father having straight razors, a nice strop, and some pre/aftercare stuff around, but he NEVER used them.

Well, the other day, my Benchmade 551 was sharp enough to pop arm hair without any pressure, so I just decided to give it a go. I got my face nice and hot, lathered it up with coconut soap, and shaved away!

It wasn't quick work, and the 154cm blade dulled somewhat before I was done(not surprising, it's like 58RC).

Anywho, I'm a cheapskate, and I'll be around to learn how to shave like a real man and get my father back into the game.
