    Default Oh Hi There!

    Hi Folks,

    My name is Andrew and I am new here. I am 27 years old and live in Brooklyn, NY.

    I have had a straight razor since high school, a gift from my mother, but stopped using it after a while because I didn't know how to keep it sharp.

    Recently I've had a rekindled interest in wetshaving, but discovered that my roommate had taken a 3/32" chip out of the blade of my razor (an entry level Dovo carbon steel model). I've been talking with a fellow I know who is going to see if he can get it workable again, and have also purchased an old Wade and Butcher "Bow" razor on ebay to try my hand at restoration.

    Anyway, I look forward to reading and discussing this hobby with all of you!
