First post from an "old time" newby.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the input that has made this such a great tome of shaving knowledge. It's certainly given me some guidance since I started thrashing my face with a large wedge in January this year.

I was doing well until I moved from the cheapest can of gell to a recommended pricey cream; nicked myself every day since, even with a good lather!

Now looking to give Mitchell's Wool Fat a try, slapped on with a fat Simpson's.

Take a look in the Get Together forum... We're planning another RazorCon event for sometime in the next month or two in London. The plan is to spend a night at a B&B and talk, trade, drink and hone all weekend while stepping out for great food.

I was hoping there would be another event in the UK.

Yep, that's the plan. I'll be bringing a bottle of scotch I think, and maybe a few cigars. I might even bring some razors and hones lol...!

Should have seen me after my first straight razor shave. Looked like I had smallpox. Could have used the scotch then.
