Thread: Hello from NZ!

My name is Joe - i enjoy long walks on the beach, holding hands, and straight shaving.

I have been shaving with a Goodfella DE razor for the last 18 months and have decided to move onto straights. I really enjoy the ideal behind straight and DE shaving - it's all about taking the time to look after yourself with quality gear, and without the unnecessary waste.

Disposable cartridges and razors are just so wasteful. The whole shaving industry is just one giant wasteful money suck. Do i really need 5 blades for the close shave? Give me a break! Somewhere along the line we lost our way.

Had my first straight shave last night and loved it! The straight cut just as close as my DE, and i don't have any technique to speak of! So now i'm totally hooked and can completely understand why you guys do all this. I'm really looking forward to my next shave.

I hope one day to be able to teach my son how to shave the way men used to, when men were men.
