Thread: London calling

Hello to all,

After reading this site anonymously for the last few months, I finally decided to get an account and join the clan of more active forumengers.
I am originally from Nice in the south of France, but moved to London, UK, about 8 years ago.

One day, I came nose to nose with a beautiful J.A. Henckels Friodur 7/8 spanish point, and couldn't resist the inside voice asking me to buy it (especially since it was NOS, and at what seems now like a damn good price). I then started looking at an alternative to replace the rather cheap looking celuloid scales, and ended up on this forum, where one of the members was offering absolutely beautiful cocobolo scales.

I now plan to look deeper into this little hobby, get further knowledge on the history and the different techniques, and hopefully learn and interract more with this community.

Welcome to the club.
You are off to a wonderful start with that Friodur. I have the same razor and it is one of my best ones.
And living in London gives you access to all those lovely stores you got over there.
