Thread: Hey there! From Kentucky

Hello,
My names Michael. Im a 22 year old man, from the Tri-state area of Kentucky. Im probably like most people around here, deciding to go with straight razors due to the cost of those pricey Mach 3 Cartridges and just simply wanting a better shave! Boy, i didn't know how much of an "art" using straight razors would be though!
I've been doing some reading (it's getting alittle late and i can tell i will need to do much more reading!), i like how everything is laid out here at SRP, and i hope to get to know some of you all and really get some quality advice for my purchases i plan on making soon!

'Grats on choosing quality for your shaves. So it's not without some skill acquisition work. It won't be bloodless. It will give you the best shaves of your life, and put many many smiles on your face.

Like many hobbies, I spent alot of time and money to learn I didn't have to spend alot of time or money. The most valuable piece of gear you're ever going to own is between your ears, and the guys here are wonderful to people who are learning. I've not found a forum on any topic that had higher quality help. The attitudes are great also.

Keep spending time on the how to sections. Glen, AfDavis, hi_bud_gl have some of the best advice, tutorials and vids on stropping, which is the only skill that is needed immediately to keep a razor going. You're gonna thank yourself for choosing quality.
