Thanked: 0Hey guys new to the forum.
Hello everybody new to this forum, and looking for some guidance. I just ordered this beginer package from amazon:Amazon.com: 300 Derby Professional Single Edge Razor Blades & 1 "Shaving Factory" Razor: Health & Personal Care
Wondering if it was a good buy, I bought it so I can edge my hairline myself and plus to SHAVE. I get razor bumps on my neck all the time and I thought maybe someone can tell me a technique of how to eliminate them.
Thanks Guys looking forward to this forum

Hi there, and welcome to SRP.
I have not used shavettes myself so I can't tell you much about that one, but I do know that many like the Derby blades. You mentioned razor bumps, but did not supply any info about your previous shaving so it is impossible to pinpoint any culprits. I am anticipating that you will see an improvement when you start using your shavette tho - that alone might be enough to take care of the problem.
Let us know how you fare, and best of luck.

Thanked: 0My shaving methods are:
1. Put Gillette pro glide shaver in warm water
2. Take a hot shower
3. Lather face with Gillette shaving cream
4. Shave
5. No bumps lotion
6. Aftershave
Now maybe you guys know of a better lotion to use for reducing bumps and also is i ok to use any type of shaving gel with the shavette or do I need to lather it up?

welcome to srp
i never quite liked shaving with a shavette type razors, or safety razors for that matter, so i have very little experience to tell you anything useful specific to them
the gillette foam/gel would work, but good real lather is much better

I suggest you get a proper soap/cream and a good brush. That is way better than the canned stuff.
I haven't used the Derby blades, I use the Feather artist club shavettes, and I like it very much.
A shavette is way better than that Gillette thing of yours, so you should see an improvements on your shaves, and I would think, with less irritation.
Good luck with itBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
