Another European addition
Bongiorno cutthroaters,
Pieter from Finland here, completely new at straight razor shaving. Heck, I don't even own a set of razors or anything yet. But I will, somewhere in the near future.
I just seemed a logical step to start shaving straight-with-a-blade, since I have been growing some awesome facial hair for about 10 years now, chest hair for a good 8 years (was that too much? ) and recently picked up smoking pipe again, next to cigars. After this, it will be hard to figure out a way to be even more manly.

Thanked: 983Hmmm...Firstly welcome to SRP. I'm thinking the next step to being more manly, would be to wear a suit and hat everywhere you go and pay careful heed to all the rules associated with the wearing of a hat. Or is that not so much manly, as old fashioned, I wonder?!

Get a Haircut Like Mad Men | The Art of Manliness
This is how to become more manly. And these haircuts should work in a hat too.
You may have to have a moustache too.. only real men can wear a tache

Finally try this as well, i see you claim to have chest hair sorted out, but when you see these, ask yourself "Do i really..?"

@ MickR:
As far as I know, rule of thumb is that when wearing a hat, it should match the suit. Also wearing a suit & hat just because suits and hats are cool is not allowed. I think one must actually have a job for which wearing suits is mandatory. Or one should be a retired gentleman/leisurer with bulks of cash to spend on quality cigars, exotic wines and equally exotic women. Since I am not any of those, I will leave the hat and suit wearing to professionals.
@Birnando:
My sense of direction being extremely lousy, I have yet to locate the whereabouts of this mystical place where bearded men roam, the place you referred to as SRP Nordic. My Dutch compass is not of much use, since there's only an arrow directed at a dot with the inscription: "You are here".
@tekbow: I pride myself being donned with a fair amount of manfluff, which I believe to be of 'Sellecked' quality, more than capable of "hassling the Hoff".

Thanked: 983No suit is necessarily required with an hat, so hat rules still apply. Never wear a hat inside, never wear a hat while eating (this can be an outside thing). Touch the brim of your hat when greeting a lady, commonly referred to as doffing your hat. Remove your hat and hold it over your heart when the national anthem is played...Just a few rules to get you started.
