Howdy from Texas
Howdy ya'all! I'm a veteran DE shaver and a member of several DE shaving forums (I use the same username just about everywhere). I'm getting ready to take the plunge and give straight razor shaving a try. I'm just waiting for the razor I really want to buy to show up over at Whippeddog before I start! Looking forward to learning from you fine gentlemen.

With your experience, you should be up and running in no time.
The Wiki is,IMHO, a great resource around here. Check it out, you'll find plenty of good stuff in there.

Hi there, and welcome to SRP. Good to have you with us, like Birnando said you will find lots of good info in the wiki, and don't hesitate to ask. You'll find straight razors a pleasurable venture, I'm sure. Looking forward to your posts.
Best of luck.

Welcome. Always glad to have a fellow Texan on board.
I made the transition from DE to straights and would never go back. Using a straight is fun and really rewarding. Let us know how your transition works out.

Thanks all! I ordered a razor the other day and it shouldn't take too long to get to me since I'm in the same state as Larry. I'll let everyone know how the first shave goes!
