Thanked: 0안녕하세요 (Ahnyong hasseyo) from South Korea
I'm an ESL teacher, recently relocated to Jeonju, South Korea. After 30-some years of shaving with everything else, I decided to give straights a try. I promised myself I'd work my way through the FAQs and all of the helpuful threads here before I bought anything, but my self-control is beginning to fail...

If you need more motivation to continue with your research prior to jumping into the fray, just browse the "First Shave" posts in the beginners section. Your first shave is nearly guaranteed to be difficult, but the more you know before you take the plunge, the less likely it is to be disastrous. You'll find the initial stages or learning to straight shave somewhat early to the early parts of learning ESL.

Thanked: 0Ok, I've read a ton of advice, and I am sufficiently cautioned. I just placed an order for a razor and strop kit from Whipped Dog Straights...
