Default Greetings from the other side of the pond

    Hi people:

I'm from Spain (North Plateau of Castile, so no beach, no flamenco, and not much bullfighting, sorry ). I'm almost a Mechanical Engineer who likes to get the hands dirty not only with the pencil, but with the real stuff you work with, and that's a part of the reason why I'm here.

I started straight shaving with a shavette almost a year ago, a bit later I bought a haircutting Filarmonica (not bad shaver) and I like to search fleamarkets for blades which might be cleaned and put to work again (they made them for that, right?). That's why I'm here, because it's where (I think) most people discuss about restoration.

Since the start of this year I also use a DE I found at my Gramps house (I think I'm becoming a hoarder).

Sorry in advance if there's any grammar/spelling mistake, but my English is a bit rusted.

A couple caņas. Put these on my count.

Hello, and welcome to SRP, from a fellow european. Good to have you with us!
There are many helpful and highly skilled restorers here, so you will not be without help. Check the wiki, there is a lot of info about restoring, and make sure to watch the videos. And read and post in the workshop forum, there's lots of people there and you can usually get replies to any questions you ask fairly fast.
Looking forward to your posts, and pictures of your restorations.
    Have fun
