Is the Doctor in?
Hello all,
My name is Don and I live in Lady Lake Fl.. I joined SRP today after reading posts for a couple of months. I was looking for info on Google to better sharpen my knives and found SRP. Next thing I know I've got some kind of infection and my wife thinks I've lost it. I can't stop buying, playing with, reading about, wishing I had this one or that one, and wanting to be an expert honemeister ,restorer, shaver, and ...............well you get the picture. First I go to a hole in the wall flea market store and I find my first razor for $10.00(had a little staining). I go home and look on E-bay to see if I got anything decent. I see the same C.V. Heljestrand NOS for $169.00. WOW! Now the infection starts burning bad. Then I buy 3 more off e-bay. Wife says I'm going to bleed to death, but go for it. Next I tell myself I need a benchmark, so, I call SRD and let them send me the Dovo Prima Klang Violetwood that I'm sure is THE ONE. Now I have 40 razors and I've restored and sold a few on e-bay. Working on 10 now. I have a lot to learn and want to thank all of you here for providing me with the perfect place to fight this infection. I'm sure no one else here has this horrid disease and I'll recieve all kinds of good advice on how to get rid of it. I'm so glad to be here and am even more glad ya'll are here. Let the treatment begin!

Thanked: 3795Well, since cold turkey is often the best way to go, I'd be willing to help you out. Send me your razors, restoration equipment, your checkbook, all credit cards, the deed to your house, and any other liquid assets. I hope this helps you with your affliction.

Hey Utopian,
I can't find my checkbook! Can you verify your whereabouts on the night of the incident? Thanks for the welcome abord.

Welcome!
We've all said that a particular razor is the "one". And it truly is for me... Right up until I get it in my grubby mitts, and then the next razor becomes the one.
The problem with RAD and HAD is that the perfect razor or stone is always the one you haven't got yet!
Glad you've jumped in with both feet and are enjoying the ride!
