Thread: Hello From South Australia

Hi everyone!

My name's Neill, I'm 25, from Aus and i'm very new to the whole enjoying shaving thing, never mind straight razors!

My first experience was with a wahl shavette and Wil Sword Blades when i was 17, and well, it wasn't pretty to say it nicely. About 3 months ago I picked up a very second hand E.M. Dickinson Invicta (mid 50's i'm led to believe) and have been experimenting with getting it sharp enough and working on my pre shave prep since then.

The whole Journey, although admittedly short has inspired me to take much better care in all of my grooming and skin care and I look forward to every time I shave! I can see why most of you are so addicted to both the art itself and this forum!

Anyway, that's me. I look forward to meeting you and taking part in this community. I hope to learn more and become more confident with putting sharp things near my whiskers!

Thanks Everyone! just had a great shave this morning with the invicta, lotsa rash on the neck, but otherwise very nice! surprised to see so many aussies on here, it's great!
