    Default Hello from Rutherfordton, NC

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been using a DE razor for a few years now, and I decided to step into the world of straight razors. I bought a Shumate Barber, and sent it to Lynn for honing. I just got it back, an tried it for the first time. Everything went great. Lynn does wonders on dull razors. I did a WTG pass and an ATG pass, and just had to touch up around my jaw line and my chin.

Welcome to SRP and congratulations on a good first shave with a straight. Hopefully it will only get better from here as your technique improves.

Welcome, and very big 'Grats! on several smart moves. The Shumate Barbers are wonderful shavers. Having Lynn hone it - you probably can't do better. And the ATG on your first shave? - almost unheard of. 'Very nice work. You're gonna have a really good time with this.

Welcome! I was just in your neck of the woods last week when I took a motorcycle trip to ATL "the long way" via hwy 64 from Morganton to Hayesville, then down GA hwy 19 to Duluth. Anyway, hope you enjoy the forum!

You're braver than I am moonshine, especially with the Monsoons we've been having here lately
