Thread: greetings

just me from miami... bought my first straight razor from the razor emporium and found this site while looking for info on how to properly use said razor without bleeding myself out in the bathroom leaving a mess for the wife to clean up....... ...

i appreciate the great advice i have found in the lurking time here and i really appreciate the sweet deal i found on a razor in the classifieds that i purchased last night *(score!!)....

i am a facilities maintenance mechanic for AA and i work in the miami airport.. i am fluent in english and spanish.. i mountain bike ~50-60 miles a week *(yes i know there are no mountain here but with our paltry 50' elevation changes the trails are very very very challenging... most being made from phosphorus mining and the rest by someone with a bulldozer...).... i love a good cigar and i have a great love of craftsmanship... which i guess after 42 years on this earth i finally gave in to the urge to shave with a straight razor... *(haven't cut myself yet )...

anything else ya wanna know just ask.... i am a fairly open book....

Sounds like you already have carved yourself a nice little foothold in the art of wet shaving.

It's always a good start not to bleed everywhere during your first shave.
I wish I could say that I didn't....hehehe
Don't think that it won't happen eventually though.
