Thanked: 1Hello!
Very excited and happy to be here. After a few years of interest in straight razor shaving I was finally able to purchase a nice set to begin shaving with.
I went slowly with my first shave as recommend and focused on the right side under my sideburns. After prepping I carefully brought the razor up to my face and I began shaving, focusing for a minute or two before deciding on my approach. After the first stroke it felt kinda natural and I worked my way down to my jaw. Concluding my first straight razor shave no worse for the wear!

Oldspice,
Greetings--and welcome to SRP. Happy to have you aboard.
As Obie has already noted, you appear to be progressing nicely. Take it slow and easy. Learn the nuances of your face and beard. Perfect your shaving technique.
It won't be long before you are shaving your entire beard.
Take care--and continued success with your straight razor shaving experience."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
