Thanked: 0Hello
Hello,
I'm a new guy that is interested in straight edge razors and using them to shave with.
I have a couple of questions, hopefully some one here can help me.
I have a hone with a name of "Satin Edge no 603" on it. I can't find out how old it is or
who made the hone. Is "Satin Edge" a trade name used by Dubl Duck razors? Dubl Duck
"Satinedge" razor.
I'm planning to restore/clean up a straight edge razor is there a way to used the orginal pins. I would like to reuse the orginal pins due to the age of the razor(1890).

I cannot think of anyway to reuse the pins. They aren't anything special, just brass rods peened over. It is possible to reuse washers though, if they aren't ruined while removing the pinning.
You may want to repost this part in the workshop section to get more attention though.
I can't help you on the hone.
Welcome to the forum.
