Hello All! I am very excited to meet you all!!! My name is Jared Morrison and I just became acquainted with this rapidly dying art a few months ago and have amassed a small collection of vintage blades already and have also started trying to learn how to clean them up and restore them.

I am looking forward to learning more about this lost art from the veteran members here and I hope I will get to the point where I can share acquired knowledge as well after I learn.

I two very nice blades that I would like to have restored one is a Wade & Butcher "Celebrated" and another is a G. Wostenholm "celebrated" as well, and a few that I was able to clean up that just need new scales so if you know someone in my area (Vancouver, Wa/Portland, Oregon) please let me know! Also, I am also looking forward to anyone interested in selling or trading.

Otherwise, if you have experience with a person that does good work in the forum, I would really like to get them fixed. Thank you!

I just scored a beautiful 7 day mapp & webb set with Tuesday and Thursday missing so if anyone could help me find them it would be much appreciated! My direct email is [email protected]

    First off, welcome to SRP.

Now I might suggest that you talk to a member by the name of mhorn. You can send him a private message through the system here. He is a great guy in Portland and likes visiting with members.

There will also be a meet in Spokane this year. If you are interested feel free to PM me for info or find a post by gssixgun and look in his signature line for a link.

On the mention of Glen I would also suggest him for restoration services he is in Sandpoint, Idaho so he's not far away and his services are great.

If you are ever interested in coming to Yakima I would be willing to help you learn whatever I can.

As for trading/selling we have a great classifieds here.

I just heard from the wife and I will be heading to Portland this summer to pick up a snake. If you want and Michael is feeling well I would be willing to get together for a meal and lively discussion.
