Thread: Hello from Norway

Hi guys!

I've been lurking around here a while, and now I thought it was about time to say hello!

Some of you know me from before, but to those who don't, here's a little about myself:

My real name is Rune, I'm 32 years old, married with two kids, seven and three years old, and live just outside of Oslo, the Capitol of Norway.

I've been straight shaving since last November, before that I had used DE's for a while, and before that again a Wilkinson cartridge. Brush and cream I had used for about a year or so before I got into DE's.

I started with restauring and honing pretty fast after switching to straights.
My honing setup is Naniwa 1K-3K-8K-12K, La Grise Coticule and a Swaty Barber hone, I'm still learning, but I'm starting to get pretty good results of these stones, and even positive feedback from others who have shaved with razors I have honed.

My current razor collection is as follows:

- ERN 2200 5/8
- Solingen Stabil 13/16 shoulderless
- Vintage Boker King Kutter 5/8
- Vintage Bismarck 11/16
- Red Point 684 5/8
- Friodur 72 1/2 6/8
- E.A. Berg 5/8 wedge
- C.V Heljestrand 6/8 Frameback
- C.V Heljestrand 924 F.L. 4/8
- Filarmonica DT 12 5/8
- Filarmonica DT 13 7/8 - New production

And last but not least am I waiting for a Wacker Antik 15/16 to arrive.

Velkommen. That looks to be a nice collection. Getting the stones figured out is a huge step.

Thanks, I do from time to time feel the urge to get some more stones, but every time I come to that I'd rather spend the money on a new razor and get to know the ones I got properly first. Unfortunatly I don't think that will last forever
