Hello There!
My name is Seth. I'm new to both the forum and the world of wet-shaving. I have been infatuated with sharp objects for as long as I can remember (probably just because they're so darn shiny!), particularly straight razors, and am looking forward to my first shave with one. All I need is the money to get started. lol
On that subject, if any experienced gentlemen out there would like to give some advice on where to get started, I'm an eager pupil, and always like to do my research before buying anything. I've been through all the beginner threads that I can find here, and now I'm looking for personal opinions and advice.
Thanks to all!
Cheers,
Seth

I am right there with you on that!! Always loved sharp things myself, still do, my arm chair hobby is sitting while watching the tube and putting a better[I"m hoping] edge on some such peice of pocket or sheith knife. Calms me down, need that sometimes, another story. READ and RE-READ the WIKI on this site, other sites, ask questions, all question, stupid and otherwise[no real stupid ones out there, though, all good] And remember, at first, go slow, don't put a death grip on a Str8 when shaving, just a grip secure enough to control, not domimate. It takes some more time than others to get into the swing of Str8 shaving with minimum injury's , Good great Odin it took me LONG ENOUGH to get things to a decent level of shaving competence[spell does count, but not this time]
And remember to have fun with it, and you can do this hobby with not too much cash, pound notes, Euros' whatever your loot is where you are.
A round for the house and a BBS to all!!!

Welcome. Lots to learn here.
Always feel free to PM me. When I started this I didn't have any income so I found a way to make this hobby affordable.

Welcome. You'll find the people here are the best, and not just when it comes to shaving.
Good luck,
Michael
