    Default New guy from Indy!

Hi, My name is AJ, and I haven't had a proper shave in 20 years.

I'm looking at getting into shaving with a straight razor, and I stumbled upon this treasure trove of information...

Basically, I just am getting fed up with paying ~$50/year for crappy shaves and razor burn. I'd rather get a good straight razor, the accouterments and be done with it.

I'll admit, one of my other reasons is that I want to be the BAMF who shaves with a straight razor.

Welcome, when I read the first line of your post, I thought you must have a very long beard that you were looking to shave off.

Then I would look to get a wonderful custom from one of the fine custom proprietors here. Nothing short of 15/16ths with lots of jimps and spine work Just make sure you get a good starter and read the wiki, watch the videos, and enjoy

Using a straight sure makes you a BAMF instantly , but if you get into this to save money, you're in for a surprise..
