Thread: Just hi, from an italian newbie living in Minnesota

Hi all,
I've been following the forum for about a month, I started straight razor shaving since about 2 weeks, and this is my first post here. It's just to say hi, and thanks for this great community! As a newbie, I had a lot of questions, but I found answers to all of them in this forum, even without asking, just by using the search. This is by far the best, and most complete, online community I've ever saw!

A little bit about myself, I'm italian, but I live in Minneapolis, MN since about a year. I'm a scientist at the University of Minnesota, and that's why I left Sunny Italy for Frozen Minnesota (although it's quite nice around here right now!).

I want to finish this short introduction with a special thanks to Don and Lynn at SRD, where I bought my first razor+strop set, and I'm really happy with both of them so far...

PS: I'm starting to feel the first symptoms of RAD, any cure?

Cure??? Easy go buy another razor, then another and another... Then you'll say wow this is getting expensive maybe if I buy old bet up ones it will be cheaper. So then you'll start looking on eBay, flea markets, and antique shops and buying piles of old razors, but how to make them shave ready? Well you'll need some stones of course and while your at it some supplies for refurbishing and so on. And now you have another AD.

A cure for RAD ? As a scientist you should know that .. it hasn't been found yet !! :-)

Don't worry, I know there's no cure for RAD, and I don't have plan to find one either!!!
