Thanked: 1Mike From Leesburg, VA
Hey Guys,
My name is Mike, Im from Leesburg VA. I have been doing a ton of research in the past few weeks/ months. and finally decided on a blade. I got it from here in the classifieds. Just wanted to stop in and say "hey" Once my razor gets here. Ill post about my first shave. Even though I am not going to just jump into a full shave, I may start a thread on my progress with WTG/XTG/ATG
Any advice for a beginner would be great.
Thanks In advance,
Mike

I'm using tapatalk, so I can't link to it, but my best advice is to go to the wiki and read the beginner's guide... Welcome to SRP, congratulations on the new razor, and enjoy your journey. The excitement/learning curve at the beginning is a blast.

We're almost neighbors. Read the wiki and ask anyone of us for pointers. Best of luck. - John

Go slow. Do short strokes. Stropping is king, as they say.
But beard prep is the jester about to poke his head around and throw you into a kerfuffle.
Styptic is your friend. The good kind who doesn't mind hurting your feelings.
Welcome aboard! And good luck. Keep us posted.
