Hey all. I'm from New Jersey and want to experience the art of shaving with a straight razor. I plan on purchasing all the needed equipment as soon as I can find the right set for me. After reading the beginners section of this wiki, I'm inclined to get a Castle Forbes, 6/8, half-hollow razor. I plan to keep it in great shape and would like to spend about $75-$100 for it. Also, I'll need a strop and brush that I plan on getting soon also. I'd prefer to buy new. If anyone knows of a reputable source that will provide an actual "shave ready" razor for a modest price, please let me know. I could use all the advise offered. Thanks for your time and help.
