Thread: Greetings from PA

I have been considering a straight razor for quite some time.

I noticed I always got much cleaner shaves with a safety than a cartridge, and have been using the safeties along with a brush and mug for years now.

I decided to almost bite the bullet and now have the Dovo disposable shipping to me. I have read both to try that for starters in case I don't like it or can't get the "knack"; and to invest first in a normal, heavy razor for better control. I still don't know if I really made the right decision, but I know nothing about buying a used regular razor.

I also have the shaving DVD on the way, and would be extremely grateful for any tips you experienced folks can offer me.
