    Default New and Bitten

I recently began wet shaving after watching a "How's it Made" episode on the Merkur Vision. That was about 6 weeks ago and it has been a whirlwind since. Began with the vision, moved on to a HD and have just started using a shavette to transition to a straight.

Besides the incredibly smooth shaves, the thing that amazes me most is the differences in soaps. I have tried several and have yet to find two very alike. So I have a question. I have heard about Aleppo shaving soap and don't see much on it or where to get it. Any advice out there?

Welcome to SRP, you came to the right place to learn about straight razors indeed
There's lots of great products out there, soaps, creams, balms, aftershaves and splashes, brushes, you name it. Half the fun,for me at least, is exploring these. I can guarantee you will have fun with this.
While I never tried Aleppo's soaps, (they are not known for shaving soaps are they?) I know they are supposed to stock an aleppo shaving soap at Moosie.Co.Uk. Currently says "coming soon", so perhaps that's true There are also a number of shave products that has aleppo soap in it, check out this link, for instance.
Let us know how you fare, and how it works if you try it.
