Thread: newbie from Louisiana

Hello from the hot south! I've been lurking around the site for a few days to get used to it. I like what I see here! I don't have a razor yet and have never shaved with one.
Being an "end of the world as we know it" kind of guy, I figured it would be nice to have a razor that will last longer than the store bought throw-aways that won't be available then. I don't want to look like a uni-bomber or terrorist when Jesus comes to get me - LOL! Of course, I could stock up on them and have a barter tool !
I've been looking at the beginners set on the Nashville Knife site. (I just have to 'splain the cost to the wife). I also looked at the classifieds here, there's some nice looking razors in there.
Anyway, I look forward to gaining proficiency with a real shaving "tool".
