    Default Hello from Central California

    Greetings.

    I'm so happy to have found this place—just what the doctor ordered.

    I've been wet shaving for nearly two years with a DE razor. I'm currently using a Merkur Vision and favor creams over soaps. I own three razors and three brushes. I've found a groove in my shaving and am very pleased with my results much more often than not.

    I'm finding myself transfixed by the prospect of shaving with a straight razor. I'm pretty impulsive but am forcing myself to research before I buy or use a razor. I can see that this is the place to do just that.

    Hello Piperdown, and welcome to SRP! Research is good, and the Wiki is a trove of great info. If you're going to shop on E-bay, definitely check out the list of razors to avoid, and to develop an idea of what you might like to try first, read about the straight razor in general.
