    Default A big Hallo from Scotland

    Evening Gents (and Ladies?)

    Barrie from Scotland here. I've only recently started the very addictive 'hobby' (or is lifestyle change more accurate?) that is straight razor shaving, and I have to say I am absolutely hooked already. I've read a number of threads on SRP and found them very helpful in choosing my first razor. The videos that a number of members have posted on Youtube allowed me to survive my first shave (and without any cuts!) so thank you all. I've been shaving with a straight razor now for about 3 weeks, and thankfully seem to be improving with every shave.

    In case anyone is interested, my first razor was a Dovo 5/8th carbon steel with ebony scales, and I love it! I've also recently purchased a vintage Ford and Medley, again 5/8th and (I think) carbon steel blade. I'm not sure what the rules are regarding mentioning stores/dealers in a public forum, but all I'll say is I made both purchases from an excellent store in Malvern, England...no doubt any UK based forum users will know who I mean.
