Thread: Newbie from Melbourne, Australia

Hi all,
Dean here just taken up the " Straight " and quite amazed at the quality of information on the forum. Clearly made up of members passionate about keeping old skills alive. For a newbie it is such a comfort to have such a wealth of information at your finger tips. In a few short sessions , I think I have save myself a considerable amount of grief and dollars. Simple straight forward advice has indeed set me on the path to success in learn the art of the shave.
So thank you all for your contributions.

G'day Dean and welcome to the forum. What brand of cut-throat did you get yourself? Oh yes, don't be afraid to use our terminology for these razors, everyone knows what we mean weather, we use the words cut-throat, open, straight or any of the abbreviations like CT, str8 etc.

Feel free to ask any questions you have, as there is always someone around who shaould be able to make an educated guess at an answer for you.

I've heard the riding roads are magic down there but the water leaves something to be desired.

Because we all like Queensland better....hehehe

not everybody is THAT keen on Queensland.

Welcome welcome . Given we are such a big country, I would think that if ever there was a need for face to face meet ups or help something like Skype could be used. I believe the Americans have used it to good effect in the past.
