Thread: Hello from the South West (UK)

Hello all,

Surf Dude from South West England here, just ordered my first straight razor a Dovo bismarck 5/8 super stoked to get shaving with it, to P***ED off with the total environmental waste from disposable razors oh and the cost.
Just joining so can get some advice and support with my first steps and as I plan to shave my head too, meet some fellow head shavers..............

Where are you in the west? I get down to Bude 3-4 times a year to play in the waves

It takes a while to get used to straight shaving but once you get it dialed in shaving becomes a pleasure!

Hi guys, thanks for the messages, 'jaycey' I am based in Plymouth, so Bude not too far, lovely little spot, what bay do you hit Crooklets or Summerleaze? And thanks for the positive words am looking forward to getting started with the razor. Do you have any experience with Dovo?

I've been shaving my head for 10 years and look forward to using a cutthroat on the old bald pate, but not just yet... I'll wait until I can shave my face safely first!

I normally head for a quiet little beach just outside Bude called Duckpool, but Crocklets, Summerleaze, Widemouth Bay are all great beaches with good surf.

Dovo was my first razor, a Best Quality from Steve at the Invisible Edge Introduction to razors great razor that will see you well.
