Newb from East Tn
Just checking in officially. I live in Johnson City of far east Tennessee. My wife is in med school so I find myself with spare time while she has her nose buried in the books. So I'm picking up straight shaving. I have not yet had my first shave, but just bought a couple Henckles at an antique show on Saturday. So as soon as I send them to get honed and approved shave ready, I'll start the journey to shave enlightenment. Glad to be here, useful place!

Welcome to SRP. Henckles are great razors. I think you will be very happy with them. Make sure you check out the wiki its full of useful info.

Welcome to SRP. I attended ETSU from '02-'06, Johnson City is a beautiful place. Scenic wise anyway.

Hey LumberJackTN, while I'm by far no expert at it yet, yes I do hone my own razors and have managed to get passable and comfortable shaves from them. I hope with time comes experience and improved edges... always looking for that perfect edge!
