    Default new member from queens, ny

    Hi
    I am Recep from Queens, NY. I joined the forum a few days ago. I decided to use straight razor while I surfed on the net to buy an electrical shaver and watched on youtube about their techinal details). its weird but my story is this.
    I bought my first straight razor last days and I recieved it yesterday. Still I am waiting for my leather strop. I am so impatient, I have to wait a few more days to shave
    Are there any members from nyc?

    Hi and welcome.

    You don't need to wait for your strop before you do your first shave, as your razor came shave-ready. Shave-ready means just that, you don't need to strop it before you use it the first time. So jump right in!

    Queens Ny ,The Better Borough! Welcome Recep. The wait sucks . I had the same problem but I used the extra day or two of waiting to study technique and browse this site for info and advise. My first shave went really well and Im a wet shaver for life now. My post http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...rst-shave.html details my first shave and you might find it helpful.
