Thanked: 0Another newbie living in Texas.
Hello all, I'm just starting this journey into the straight edge shaving. I've looked at the classified for some razors but wonder if there are any other sources of used shave ready razors out there. I'd like to start off not out laying a ton of cash on a new razor before I know if this would be for me, but I don't think I'd be able to pick up one on eBay that was worth a flip. Too many lemons out there with the oranges. Besides I'd need a back up razor later on anyway. I've used electric and multi blade razors and creams in a can for all my shaving life with poor results. Looking forward to taking my time shaving with quality products obtaining superior results to what is pushed to the mainstream as being the best. I've been lurking and learning on this site for a little while. I'll be learning more as the days go on. I'm sure my first shave will be nerve racking, but that is part of the joy of learning a new skill.

Your best bet is THE CLASSIFIEDS here at SRP or our Vendors. With others it is a business, here it is a passion.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

That's the only reliable source for "shave ready" razors I know that's sometimes less expensive than the SRP Classifieds. You'll need a leather strop, as well as the razor; the Whipped Dog "Sight Unseen" kit will get you started for minimum cost.
If you like straight-razor shaving, you can spend your money really, really quickly!<g>
