Thread: Another Hello from Tennessee.

Just wanted to stop in and say hello. Im a new to straight razors but not to wet shaving. I have been a member of another shaving forum for sometime. But have recently become unhappy there for various reasons that I feel I should not get in to here. I look forward to learning here and talking to all of you.

Sumothong? As in a fat wrestler's jock strap? Ugh, I won't even go there. Welcome to our little group here on the SRP forum. There is tons of information here, as you probably already know. I hope your experience here proves more enjoyable than your previous group. This is a very civil, informative and helpful bunch of folks. They treat everyone the way they want to be treated and that makes it a very enjoyable atmosphere. If you have any questions feel free to ask. There will always be someone who will come along with some answers.

As stated by Walt this is a very informative group of folks, most are str8 razor shavers. They have helped me more than I can repay during my long journey into Str8 razor shaving. If you have a question just post it and soon someone will chime in with an answer. Between the personal response, the WIKI's and the videos there is more info than you can imagine. I guess i should explain the name. I got it back many moons ago while wrestling in high school. A guy I was wrestling was trying to lift me and his grip slipped. His hands grabbed the bottom of my suit and he gave me a monster wedgie. One for the guys on the team said it looked like a "sumothong" and it stuck.
Oddly enough that user name is always available.

Good to see you have a sense of humor, I always say one can never take themselves to seriously. Oh and welcome as everyone has said this is a great place and a great group of guys, always helpful and generous with their knowledge. Hope you enjoy yourself as much as I have.
