Thread: Hello all!

Greetings from the Bay Area! I have been wet shaving for a long time, but have been using a DE for only about 7 or 8 months and now I have started to get into straight shaving. I am a frequent visitor to another shave site, but wanted to check out the straight shaving info and comments over here. I have just about 10 straight shaves under my belt, and I am far from proficient at it, but I am eager to learn all I can. Thanks in advance and I look forward to your help and council.

Good to see another N. Californian around here, haven't come across many thus far. You've come to the right place if you are looking for guidance. You'll find everyone here is very friendly and willing to help you in your journey. The wiki is very helpful but if you can't find it there don't be scared to ask these guys are always generous with their knowledge.

That's exactly what I've been hoping for. Though I no longer live near the bay I'm very familiar with it and the surrounding areas. If we were able to set up a meet I would definitely be there. We should start a thread and see what we can do.

Thanks, guys, for the welcome. I don't know if my wife would let me out of the house for something like that. HAHAHA. She still rolls her eyes every time I talk about shaving or she comes in and I have all my stuff out.
