    I have been shaving with a straight razor for about a week now. It is eally enjoyable. I am also a new member to SRP.

    Hello belovedbishop and welcome to SRP.

    I'm new myself and haven't been shaving with a straight much longer than you in the whole scheme of things.

    In fact I've seen people who started about the same time as me who seem to have far surpassed me in technique and ability, but each in his own time. All it takes is patience and a willingness to learn from everyone here.

    If you need help with anything let us know-- there are more and more of us from Iowa, and chances are there is someone near you who would be willing to help out. Also, keep an eye open for an IA SRP meet-up... hopefully there will be one soon!
