Thanked: 0A new beginner
Hello. My name is Terence. I'm about two months into straight razor shaving now. I actually got into it to save money (poor college student) and found that it's actually very nice and that there is this terrific forum as well!
I'll post more about it in another thread in the beginners section, but basically came in knowing nothing, a limited amount of research got me to shaving, albeit uncomfortably, and now I'm getting much better but know now that I need to make a small investment in this new practical shaving method that also seems to be becoming a hobby.
Anyway, I'm from Minnesota and look forward to perusing and learning!

Terence, a hearty welcome to SRP! There is a learning curve to everything and the skill level will come. I've been shaving with a straight for 40+ years and I'm still learning new things. The people here are all willing to help and share their knowledge and experience for the asking.
I wish you much success in your new adventure.
