    Default Hi, from south Louisiana.

    Hello everybody and thanks for having me here. Here is a little about my straight shave experience. About 19 years ago I had just started to try and shave with a straight, didn't go well but I was determined to do it. I had just recently joined the Army and was due to ship out soon when I had started. Well imagine my surprise when at Basic Training they confiscated my straight that I forgot to take out of my shave kit before leaving home. Well all this time latter and I have finally decided to take it up again and my "new" vintage razor is on its way from Tennessee. Thanks to this amazing thing called the internet I think this go round will be much better, at the least I am better informed about technique.

    Welcome aboard. You'll find a lot of good info here and if you can't, just ask. I guarantee you'll get lots of answers (most may even be right!). But above all, enjoy the journey.
