Thread: New guy from the UK

Hi all, my name is Adam and I'm from the UK.

I started shaving with a straight razor a few weeks ago, just using one with removable blades until i can afford a proper one, and i have to say i love it! I just cant wait to get my hands on a proper one!

p.s Is there anyone else on here from the uk?

For some excellent restored vintage razors have a look at Neil Miller's website or Steve Dempster's who also does modern Dovo and Thiers Issard

I'm from the Durham area. Thanks, i have checked out those sites and have found a few good ones. What would you say about the Ford & Medley razors? Worth buying or not?

I don't have one myself but I believe they were good.

Hello Adam. Welcome. I'm not from the UK but I did live there for many years. I was in NW1 near Regent's Park. Worked just off Fenchurch Street near Lloyds. Great time in my life but I miss my local publican most of all!
