Thanked: 1Hello From Beautiful Redcliffe by the sea!
Hi my name is Rusty, hence my username. I've been interested in shaving equipment for many years. Recently I became interested in straight razors. I do have a small collection of shaving mugs, straight razors, safety razors, old strops and a couple of barber's chairs. In fact, every Saturday night I sit in one and smoke a Cuban cigar while listening to jukebox Saturday Night on the radio.
I am a beginner and am looking forward to learning more.

Well you've come to the right place, Rusty and welcome to SRP.
It's good to have another Queenslander on the site.
You've made yourself known at just the right time 'cause we're having a meet-up next weekend

I'm an old Sandgate boy myself, however I have gone west - long story.
You would be most welcome to catch up with a few of us next Sunday, if you are free.
Hang on and enjoy the ride.

Thanked: 1587G'day Russ! Very glad you are here mate! You should take some photos of that shaving mug collection and show the guys here - I know many of them would have an appreciation for some of them, especially those star wars (or was it Star Trek?) mugs

Thanked: 1G'day James,Thank you for your welcome. I think I might have one Star Trek Mug packed away somewhere. I wouldn't consider it an Antique though still worthy of a place in my Collection. I will get my Daughter to help me take some Photo's so I can share them with the Members at a later date.
Rusty.

I'm sure some more Oz members will chime with a hello in once they realise Redcliffe is in Australia. I had to look it up
