    Default Hello from ATL!!!

    Hello,

So I was interested in buying a straight to begin shaving with. I went to antique show and come to find out a couple of these i found are worth some bucks. I have to admit i'm addicted now and love to hunt for these things. Check out my first finds.

Not bad...Not bad at all. That Filly is sweet. Get it honed and you're good to go with shaving.

The third and fourth razor need a little polishing of the blade as well as sharpening, but they appear to be in pretty good shape too.

I love the third one - I'm developing a thing for interesting scales, it seems, so if you ever get tired of it, you know where I am

I think that you should send those blades to me for proper disposal - they could be dangerous in inexperienced hands......hehehehe
Great finds and best of luck learning to use them - seriously.
I have to say I'm a little jealous of you.
I've been after one of those Wade & Butchers for a while now.
Welcome to SRP BTW - hang on and enjoy the ride

You found a Fili on your first try? You have been touched by satan my friend. Stop immediately and go find a Catholic church and dunk your head in the holey water thingy...

Thanks guys. Seriously, I love this new hobby. I passed on a few that I will be going back for later. That Filarmonica is a buet I think I am going to keep it in its box. I actually was able to pick up 2 Wade and Butcher's. A Barbers Rattler and a Diamond Edge razor. The scales is what put me on the rose. I paid about $120 for all of these. Someone told me the Filarmonica is worth a lot. It is 1in wide. Learning more and more. Anyone recommend any good books out there? I looked at the standard guide to razors but the values seem way off. Happy Hunting.
