Thanked: 0New Scot on board
Hi guys, newbie to the forum from sunny Scotland!!!
Been using a DE for about 3 years now and occassional straight razor. The straight I used I inherited from my dad but I recently dropped it on a tiled floor in an hotel bathroom cracking the scales off and breaking the blade. Was lucky enough to find this site so busy browsing for a replacement.
Some great info and advice here, so hoping to get a replacement soon and hopefully go on to mainly straight with occassional DE.

Thanked: 40Welcome Welcome Welcome
Glad to see you're looking for a new razor . You should get new scales for your dad's razor. Shaving with a razor that has a history should not be missed. Beware of RAD (it can't be avoided) and enjoy the ride.

Welcome aboard! Too bad about your dad's straight, but you'll definitely find the help and support you need here to get another one, as well as a great bunch of people with whom to chat about all things shaving.

Thanked: 993Mainly straight, with a side of DE sounds good.
Welcome to the forum. Dropping straights sucks...it really does. I feel your pain.

Hi and welcome
It may be worth checking the classifieds here for a razor, but also Neil Miller's Strop Shop sells restored vintage razors and Steve Dempster Sells Vintage and new Dovos and Thiers Issards all of which are UK based.Regards
