Thanked: 0New member in need of a bit of help
Ok guys im new to the straight/cut throat razor world. I won one in a raffle for movember and have always been interested in using one as I shave my head and my face but keep a beard. I sort of have the technique down and have figured out I was stropping it a bit wrong. But I am confused as to which side of the strop I use to sharpen and which to use to smooth apparently thats what you should do if this is incorrect then please let me know. Its a gold Enzo england razor and I gotta say it does give a nice shave I just think I have screwed up a bit. Any advice on brushes and soaps etc is all welcome as well only used it with shaving foam and only had the thing a few days.
Hope you guys can help me and I look forward to hearing of you guys who are more experienced than myself.

Fazzmando,
Welcome to SRP. As samda advised, take a look at the SRP wiki. You may find your answer there about stropping your straight razor. There is also a stropping video on the SRP homepage. Check it out.
Another place to look is YouTube. There are lots and lots of instructional videos there. There may also be some on stropping."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain
