Thanked: 0Hey-hey from the UK (England to be exact)
Hello,
It seems my previous post has disapeared. Not sure what happened. I'm a complete beginner in that I still don't actually own a straight, but I will be inheriting one from my Uncle soon!
So, was hoping to meet some shavers from England (I'm in Essex) who can give England-Relevant advice!

imnotCrazy,
Welcome and hello from Hastings
We have some very fine chappies in the UK.
Mr Neil Miller (www.strop-shop.co.uk - hand made straight razor strops, razor pouches, shaving accessories, vintage razors, razor honing and restoration) supplies vintage razors, razor honing, his most excellent strops and more.
Mr Steve Dempster (Introduction to razors) supplies both new (Dovo & Thiers-Issard) and vintage razors and more.
For shaving consumables, Mr Mayhew (Welcome To Connaught Shaving) is excellent.
Please have a peek at the SRP Wiki - there is much valuable informations there
Straight Razor Place Wiki - Straight Razor Place Wiki
Good luck
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ

Welcome to SRP.
There are a fair few UK straight razor users about on the board.
Anything you need to know just ask.
All the best
NicRegards

Hi and welcome to SRP.
Just out of curiosity - how is it you know when you will be inheriting a razor?

Thanked: 0Oops
Haha! Perhaps 'Inherit' was slightly the wrong word. My great Uncle heard I'd started DE shaving and aid he would like to give me his Straight which he only recently stopped using himself.
I'm not murdering him for his razor, I promise!
I live in Corringham in Essex which is the Rose between the Thorns of Basildon, Tilbury and Grays.
