    Default Greetings from South El Monte, CA!

    Hail to all my fellow brethren, I have finally joined your ranks as a straight razor shaver!

    I've been wanting to try my hand at straight razor shaving for quite some time. My girlfriend being the wonderful person that she is decided to give me a shaving kit for my birthday (Dec 30th). What better way to start my 25th year of being on this planet than by learning a new skill!

    My kit includes three creams (pre shave, lather and after shave), a badger brush (awesome!) and a hollow ground The Art of Shaving straight razor from Soligen Germany (From what I understand this is a quality blade).

    I have confirmed that straight shaving is definitely a skill that needs to be developed, hehe.

    Anyhow, I'm looking forward to gaining a lot of insight from everyone here in the community. So am I off to a good start?!
