    I started with a shavette as well. Although I only have 3 shaves with a straight, I find it to be easier on my skin than the shavette.

    Maybe they're called mind flayers or something. I'll check out the Lovecraft sometime (i.e. never). Dungeons 'n Dragons 4eva!

    Antique stores.. many of them are overpriced, thinking someone at random will fall in love with the brand name and overlook the tremendous rusting and giant chips and cracks. Can't really tell you what the "usual" price is. Most are over 15-20, I've seen a lot between 20-40 bucks in alright condition. They have no idea what to price them, the real prestigious brands are just as likely to be underpriced as the crapola they think is antique-gold-hidden-in-bubbly-rust.
