    Default Hello!

    Hello lovers of straight razors!

My name is LuÃs, from Portugal.

Currently, I am using a safety razor for my shave, however, I have the intention to buy a straight razor. Don´t know when, but someday I will.

I am here to learn with you people, as this is a community full of knowledge. My big concerns about acquire a safety razor is the horning methods and stones.

It´s good to be part of this community.

    Welcome to SRP LuÃs!

Don't worry about honing and stones yet, get a shave ready razor (or two) from the Classifieds and focus on learning how to shave properly first, then you can start to learn how to hone.

There are several members that offers honing service if you need it in the meanwhile.
Need help or tutoring? Check out the  .

    Thank you for your reception.

About your comment, my other concern is to expend money to buy the razor and the strop, and do not have hability to horn the razor, and therefore, have to pay to someone 10 euros or so to horn the razor. I am happy with the safety razor, but have the curiosity to try a straight razor. So that´s why a do not have hurry.

Let´s say...I not ready to expend money in something that I know I like, but I don´t know if I should.
