Thread: A greeting from Denmark

Hello to you all.

I have had the pleasure of learning classic shaving over the last year.

I started out with the safety razor like so many others before me, and was perfectly happy with the quality boar brush and superior soaps and creams that being on the shaving forums open your eyes to...

Having a profile on B&B this past year has yielded some great new friends and a lot of information on technique, products and shavers... But as time goes by the straights kept popping up with all their spectacular scales, etchings and promises of even greater shaves than DE's... OOOH yes, I became addicted


I have slowly been getting better with the straights over the past 5 months, and I know I have quite a way to go in terms of honing and stropping, but the shaves are quite okay already! Not BBS but perhaps an 95% DFS across the whole face...


Anyway, this is kinda the place to be when you love straight razors - so here I am!

I'm Looking forward to learning even more, and hopefully adding both bits of accuried knowledge as well as a cheerful attitude in the daily discussions.

from a fellow scandinavian. Congrats on your success so far! You are quite right not to expect the super duper shaves to happen immediately, no worries tho, they will come.
As for learning, the wiki holds a lot of info on most aspects of shaving, and when you get stuck jump right in with your questions on the forums.
