Greetings from Sweden
Here you have a soon to be 27 year old guy from Sweden who recently thought it would be a good idea to try straight razor shaving. To keep the try out cost low I went for a shavette with the long razors. They are not as sharp as you see that the real knives can be, but since people are using them I guess they should be sufficient.
So 4 days after getting the razor home I have gone through 3 shaves, and not that good of a shave to tell you the truth :-P But the third was better than the first so it is slowly improving :-D
I'll be hanging here for a while to learn this art and hopefully I can eventually give some hard earned knowledge back to the future beginners here :-)

Thanked: 4Start shaving with a straight razor is not depend on one's age luckily I have started it approximately 9 month and I got more and more knives. Before that I used only beard trimmer lol.
Go on, I wish you the best here and at home in the front of the mirror!
